We had a great time Sunday night with all the kids and my friends Dorothy and Dennis. Lots of laughs and lots of good food. I made Chili, 2 kinds. Regular for some of us and for Dee and Chad and Emily I found a recipe for vegetarian chili. At first it didn’t taste right but after cooking for about 2 hours it was good and thick and the kids really liked it. I have to say I liked my beefy chili better. Dorothy made this great salad, Dee brought the bread and Emily brought the wine which is still being used I must say. Anyway, I got to see my Catie Cate. She’s really growing and she’s hillarious. Her and Jackson were running through the house and he snuck up behind her and gave her a shock. She blurts out “That scarred the crap out of me!!!” After we all had a laugh her mom talked to her and told her not to say crap unless they were at home. She then proceeded to announce that she could see crap at home! LOL She is so much fun. We all enjoyed my cake too!!!

There were 4 tornados that touched down last night here in the metro area. The local news had th echopper up and we were watching the footage of the tornados from the chopper. Amazing. Luckily, no one was hurt but alot of damage. It was wild, now we’re just getting rain and will be getting rain from Ike starting monday. My brother is down in Austin and he’s the manager of several of the Dollar Stores down there. I guess they got over 10,000 from Houston and they completely bought out the store. They are supposed to get some pretty nasty storms from Ike later today.

Anywho….today is Jackson’s belt testing…I best go get ready.

I got to watch my Granddaugher Catie on Thurs and Fri. We had so much fun. We made cupcakes, we played the piano and sang songs, we talked about the clouds and the weather and the rain and we had a ball. I took her down to Grandpa Brent’s and showed her off and let me tell you, they were shocked! Some of them didn’t even know Dee had a daughter (of course I told them but they are getting up there). The ladies wen’t wild over Cate’s little denim jacket with the pink fur collar. And she is a charmer that is for sure. She DOES get that from my side of the family I do believe…*dusting off the shoulders* Anyway, I took some pictures. She loves her uncle Jackson but she only got to play with him for a short while on Thursday. The whole time it was just her and me and if I could buy that little girl every little outfit I see I would. God she is cute.
